Welcome to Harvest SFV, the English Ministry of the Evangelical Formosan Church of San Fernando Valley (EFC-SFV for short). We’re glad that you found your way here. Our mission is to love God and others, to share the good news of Jesus and to make disciples of Christ, from one generation to another, and from one culture to the next.
We love the spiritual home that the Lord has created here, and we hope that you find a home here with us as well.
Blessings to you. My name is Joe, and I have the privilege of serving here as one of the pastors of this church. My primary area of ministry is to the English Ministry, but my responsibility extends to our whole church. I am always delighted whenever I get the opportunity to serve my church-family from our other ministries.
Aside from a few years away, I have served here since I graduated from Talbot Theological Seminary in 2006. This is the church where I started full time ministry, and where I grew to love sharing the Word. While the average length of a pastor’s stay at a church is four to five years, I am blessed that the good Lord has allowed me to serve here for so long.
One of the great advantages of pastoring in one place for so long is being able to see many grow; both physically as well as spiritually. I’ve seen our little ones grow to adulthood, and I’ve seen new believers grow to love God.
Times do change, but the Lord has always been, and will always be, faithful.
My hope in the Lord is He might continue to make me faithful to Him not only while I serve here. To faithfully serve those that have attended this church for years, and to faithfully serve those who visit. With that being said, if you haven’t joined us in worship before, I’d like to personally extend my invitation to you to come join us. And if you’re able to make it, make sure you look for me… I’d love the chance to meet you.
